In the last fifteen years, CAP has been involved in the representation of Portugal at the European Commission in Brussels, where it has set up a permanent delegation and participation in all the Agricultural Committees and in the Economic and Social Council.

As a representative of the socio-professional agricultural associativism, CAP has, in its own right, the recognition of the various Governments that Portugal has had in the last twenty years, the status of Social Partner in the Economic and Social Council - Standing Committee on Social Dialogue, between Government, Trade Unions and Employers of the most important decisions in economic and social policy.
